Raising funds for book bags and school supplies for homeless school children in the Chicago suburbs.

The walk is on Saturday, June 17, 2023. 

Location

Vollmer Grove Forest Preserve

The in-person run/walk will take place at Vollmer Road Grove Forest Preserve on Vollmer Road in Flossmoor, IL. Registration opens at 8:30am. All race day runners/walkers must check-in at the registration to receive the shirt and race bib. The opening ceremony will begin at 9:30am and the run/walk will begin immediately following the ceremony. Virtual walkers are invited to attend the livestream of the opening ceremony at 8:30am. The livestream will be available on our Facebook home page DBC Offices. ROUTE The in-person run/walk route will take place at the Vollmer Road Grove Forest Preserve located on Vollmer Road in Flossmoor, IL. The route consists of a paved trail that is 3.9 miles for a total of 5K. The route is suitable for runners/walkers of all abilities. Runners/Walkers are welcome to complete as many times around the trail as they feel comfortable. Virtual walkers can choose their own route and distance.
